Former World Snooker champion Pankaj Advani will lead the Indian challenge in the IBSF World Snooker Championships. The event is being held in Amman, Jordan from November 4-15.
Anuja Thakur, the first female player to win the Arjuna award this year, and Vidya Pillay will represent the country in the Ladies potion of the event.
Advani, who is only the second player to have won both the world snooker and billiards titles, will be accompanied by Manan Chandra. Yasin Merchant will also be present but only as the reserve player, Billiards and Snooker Federation vice-president R K Tandon said on Wednesday. In the Masters category, Geet Sethi and Devendra Joshi will play for top honours after winning the title in the USA.
